UPCOMING SUNDAY SERVICES  - Paul Clayton will preach on August 8 while Pastor Tom is on vacation.  Michael Clyburn, president of Alderson Broaddus College (FBCM supported) will speak on August 15. 

PASTOR TOM will be on vacation August 4-11.  If you have a need during that time, please contact the church office or Preston Urbahns (deacon board). 

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT – The Christian Education Board is presenting a Leadership Development Workshop on Saturday, August 28, 8:00-noon.  This is open to everyone.  The theme is “Spiritual Gifts.”  We will learn to identify, explore and refine our own spiritual gifts.  A continental breakfast will be served.  Sign up is on the narthex table.  Child care will be provided.

DEACONS’ OFFERING will be collected today.  It helps our financially distressed neighbors and friends.  If you’d like to contribute, please use the Love Gift envelopes in your pew and designate “deacons.”  Thank you!

NURSERY CARE is provided for children up to 2 years of age during the church hour Sunday mornings.  Our nursery is located past the coat racks and before the restrooms.  Children 3-6 years old are invited to use our children’s bulletins which are on clipboards just outside the sanctuary.

HAITI MISSION OPPORTUNITY – ABCOPAD is sponsoring a trip to Haiti, January 15-24, 2011.  Rev. Frank Frischkorn, ABCOPAD Executive Minister, will lead the group of 12 people on the 10-day mission trip.  This will include 2 travel days to/from Haiti, a vacation day mid-week, and 7 days to work on a mission project.  The cost is $1600 which includes airfare out of Philadelphia, room, meals, etc.  The cost for the inoculations will be over and above the cost of the trip.  The team will work in Grand Goave (3 hours from Port-au-Prince) rebuilding a school that was demolished during the earthquake.  The school was housed in Temple Baptist Church.  An application and related information are available on the ABCOPAD website.   (www.abcopad.org)
