Our Statement of Faith

The Bible We believe that the Bible, including the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of the living God, inspired through His Holy Spirit. As such, we believe that the Word of God is unfailing, and is without error in its original writings. We believe that the Word of God is the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of mankind and the divine final authority for all areas of the Christian faith and life.  Supporting Scriptures

The Trinity We believe that there is only one true God who is eternally existent and whose name is Yahweh (Jehovah). He has revealed Himself as a Trinity in unity. He has revealed Himself as the Father of all creation; He has been revealed through His only begotten Son, Jesus; and He continues to reveal Himself through the person of the Holy Spirit.  Supporting Scriptures

Jesus Christ We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, that He is coeternal and coequal with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible record of His virgin birth, sinless life, words, works, vicarious death, bodily resurrection and ascension, His present ministry of intercession at the right hand of God, and the promise of His personal return. Christ came into the world to provide salvation through faith in Him as Savior and Lord, and to restore mankind to fellowship with God. Supporting Scriptures.

Holy Spirit We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit, and that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit works to convict every person of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, and to baptize, indwell, comfort, guide, instruct, seal, and empower the believer for godly living and service in holiness and love. Supporting Scriptures.

Salvation We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God but fell, through disobedience, into sin, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All humanity inherits a sinful nature and is separated from a life with God. Salvation has been provided through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ for all men, and those who repent and believe in Him are born again from above by the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God. Supporting Scriptures.

The Church We believe that the true church is composed of people who, through faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are baptized by that Spirit into the body of Christ, of which He is the Head. We further believe that only those who are thus members of the true church shall be eligible for membership in the local church. We believe that the mission of the church is to advance the Kingdom of God by witnessing and worshiping.  Supporting Scriptures.

Ordinances We believe that the Lord's Supper and the believer's Baptism by water immersion are ordinances ordained by Christ, and ordained in Scripture to be observed by the Church during this present age. They are however, not to be regarded as means of salvation. Supporting Scriptures.

The Family We believe that God calls us to either of two patterns He has designed for us: celibate singleness or a faithful heterosexual marriage. We believe that marriage was instituted by God as a sacred and permanent covenant between a man and a woman for the purposes of companionship, enjoyment, completeness, fruitfulness, protection, and illustration of Christ's relationship with the church. We believe that parents' chief responsibility is to raise their children to love and serve the Lord. Supporting Scriptures.

The Future We believe in the bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom and to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to the resurrection of life and eternity in heaven, and the lost to the resurrection of damnation and eternity in hell. Supporting Scriptures.

In the same way He took the cup also, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."
